A door hinge is a device that allows a door to open and close in a natural and smooth rotation.
The hinge consists of a hinge holder and a hinge body, one end of which is connected to the door frame by an arbor and the other end is connected to the door fan; the hinge body is divided into two sections, one of which is connected to the arbor and the other to the door fan, and the two sections of the hinge body are connected to each other by a connecting plate, which is provided with a hole for adjusting the door gap. Since the hinge body is divided into two sections and connected into a whole through the connecting plate, the door can be removed for repair by removing the connecting plate. The door gap adjustment holes of the connecting plate include long holes for adjusting the upper and lower door gap and long holes for adjusting the left and right door gap. The stainless steel door hinge can be adjusted not only up and down, but also left and right.
Assuming you are installing a new door, find the exact location of the hinges on the door frame. One hinge should be located 7 inches from the top of the door frame, while the second hinge should be located 11 inches from the bottom of the door frame.

Place the hinges on the door and door frame and carefully walk around the hinges with a pencil. The depth of the hinge on the side panel should be as deep as the hinge itself. Make sure the contour line matches the position on both the door and the frame, then use a hobby knife to lightly score the contour line to make the next step easier.
Cutting mortises is when cutting out wood in the form of hinges in the door frame, which means that the hinges can be inserted into the door frame to provide greater strength. Not only that, but it also ensures that the hinges look good on the door.
To cut the mortise, use a very sharp chisel and hammer and gently tap the chisel into the door frame from the side to remove the strips of wood. Make sure not to cut the mortise too deep, but only as deep as the contoured area and markings.
If you accidentally cut the mortise too deep, simply fill it in with wood filler or thin boards before proceeding to the next step.
Place the hinges on the side where the mortise was cut out and mark the location of the side screws with a pencil. Perform the same operation for the hinges on the door.
After marking, remove the hinges.
Using a screwdriver or drill bit, drill narrow pilot holes at the marked screw locations (drill some small holes as guides before the full-size holes).
First tap the screw gently, then use a screw guide to keep the screw straight as it is inserted into the wood.
Put the hinges back in place and use a drill or screwdriver to secure them to the door frame and door respectively.
Secure the door in place and use wooden blocks at the bottom for support (if needed). Align the two hinge plates so that the hinges on the door match the hinge plates on the door frame. Slide the hinge pins into place to secure the door adjustable hinges, then remove all blocks supporting the door.
Finally, you can test the door to make sure it is working properly.
