From the book of《nternational Door and Window Architectural Hardware Application Encyclopedia》, we can make a summary that Fire Rated Double Doors must have three kinds of door hardware:

1.Fire Rated Ball Bearing Hinge

A fire rated double door must be hung on ball bearing type hinges made from steel or another non-ferrous metal. Doors up to 4'0'' wide  and 8'0'' tall can use standard weight (134 thickness) ball bearing hinges. Doors over 4'0'' wide and 8'0'' tall must be use heavy weight hinges.(180 thickness)

2.Fire Rated Door Handle

Usually it is suitable to 45-50mm thickness of the door. 3.Fire Rated Door Closer

Fire rated double doors must be self-closing. Either a listed spring hinge or closer is required at all fire rated openings.
