Bathroom mortice lock is a type of door lock designed for bathroom doors and belongs to a subdivision of the mortise lock system. Its core structure is that the lock body is embedded inside the door body, and the deadbolt is controlled by the lock cylinder or knob to realize the opening and closing of the door. Unlike ordinary door locks, bathroom mortise locks require a balance of privacy protection and quick opening in emergencies, usually equipped with emergency release devices or emergency holes that can be operated externally. The lock body design must meet the requirements of the bathroom in a humid environment, and the material must have anti-corrosion and rust characteristics to ensure long-term stable operation. Its installation method is embedded, and the corresponding slot needs to be excavated in the door body to form a flat structure between the lock body and the door body, so as to avoid exposed parts affecting the appearance and safety. As a component of the door lock system, bathroom mortise locks need to work in tandem with door frames, lock plates, and other accessories to form a complete closure mechanism.

Product Features
1. Authoritative authentication, safe and reliable
This bathroom mortice lock has been certified by BS EN12209 and DIN 18251 Grade 3, and its durability has been verified by 200,000 cycle tests, which meets the European door lock industry standard. The certification of EN1634 shows that it has 260-minute fire protection performance, which can keep the structure intact in high temperature environment and provide fire isolation guarantee for the bathroom. The 240-hour corrosion resistance test certified by EN1670 ensures that the lock body will not rust after long-term use in humid environment, meeting the special needs of bathroom scenes.
2. Accurate parameters and strong adaptability
The Backset of the lock body is 55mm, and the distance from the lock core to the door edge conforms to the installation standard of the mainstream door type; The door distance is 78 mm, which ensures the accurate alignment of the locking tongue and the door frame locking plate, and reduces the installation error. The design of Square or Radius locking tongue plate and locking buckle plate is suitable for different styles of bathroom door, which enhances the overall aesthetics.
3. High-quality materials, durable
The lock tongue, lock bolt and Follower are made of solid SUS 304 stainless steel, which has strong impact resistance and can withstand high-frequency use without deformation. SUS 304 stainless steel is used for the lock tongue plate (Forend) as well as the Strike plate, and the surface is wire-drawn (sss), which not only enhances the corrosion resistance, but also gives the product a modern and simple visual effect.
4. Fire protection design, safety upgrade
With the 260-minute fire protection performance certified by EN1634, bathroom mortice lock can effectively block the spread of fire and gain time for evacuation. The internal structure of the lock body is filled with fireproof materials, and the key components are specially treated to ensure normal operation in high temperature environment and improve the overall safety of bathroom space.
5. Anti-corrosion technology, lasting as new.
According to the EN1670 standard, the surface of the lock body has been tested by salt spray for 240 hours, which can resist the corrosion of corrosive substances such as water vapor and detergent. The combination of SUS 304 stainless steel material and wire drawing surface treatment (sss) forms a double protective barrier, which prolongs the service life of the product and reduces the maintenance cost.
6. Flexible adaptation and convenient installation
There are two kinds of locking plate and locking plate options, square and arc, which can match bathroom door with different design styles without additional customized parts. Standardized back distance and door margin parameters simplify the installation process, reduce the workload of on-site adjustment and improve the construction efficiency.
7. Exquisite appearance and blend in with the environment
The brushed stainless steel surface treatment (sss) gives bathroom mortice lock a low-key and luxurious texture, which naturally blends with the modern bathroom decoration style. The design language without superfluous decoration highlights functionality and practicality, and meets the users' dual pursuit of quality and aesthetics.
Product Installation
1. Measure and locate to ensure precise installation
Determine the back distance of the lock body (55mm) and the door edge distance (78mm) based on the door type, and use a tape measure to mark the opening position on the door body. Pay attention to distinguishing the left and right door opening directions to avoid the lock tongue direction not matching the door frame locking plate.
2. Dig the slot and embed it into the lock structure
Use an electric drill and a carpenter's chisel to excavate lock body slots, lock tongue slots, and lock core holes in the door body, with a depth and width consistent with the size of the lock body. After slotting, clean the wood chips to ensure that the slot is flat and avoid shaking after installing the lock body.
3. Fix the lock body and adjust the position of the components
Place the lock body into the slot and tighten the fixing screws with a screwdriver to ensure that the lock body is flush with the surface of the door body. Install the locking tongue plate and locking buckle plate, adjust the position so that the locking tongue can smoothly extend into the hole of the locking buckle plate without any jamming or displacement.
4. Install the lock cylinder and test the opening function
Insert the lock cylinder into the corresponding hole of the lock body, install the knob or handle, and ensure flexible rotation. Insert the key to test the opening and closing function of the lock cylinder, check whether the lock tongue extends and retracts smoothly, and if there are any abnormalities, adjust the position of the components again.
5. Final inspection, complete installation acceptance
Close the door and test the lock function with the key and knob to confirm that the lock tongue can fully extend and lock the door frame. Check whether the gaps around the lock body are uniform, whether there are scratches or damages on the surface, and clean up the tools and debris on site after installation.
